I've been at my new job for 2 weeks now, and Shelby has learned what it means when Steven says "Winnie's home." Steven recorded what happens.
She recognizes the phrase wherever we are. When Steven picks me up from BART, she reacts the same, except in that case, she's running in circles in the truck.

Little doggies are funny like that. Mine can tell the sound of my Jeep apart from other vehicles and gets excited.

She reminds me a lot of my pugs. Max, the pug I had growing up, would just be beside himself when I called from college and he heard someone say my name. Jack gets really excited about the time my husband usually gets home. He's been working late on a project this last week, so Jack will sit there waiting with his favorite toy to share with my husband when he walks in the door.

haha thats adorable
whats funny is my cat does a thing sort of like shelby
me and my future husband walk up to the door and if we pause and listen we can hear the cat crying and when we walk in she starts running around and getting excited.

WHAT???? SHE DOESN'T CALL YOU "MOMMY?" Daisey and Chloey know me as Mommy, I'm a stay at home mom so I'm not gone very often, but when I am, they are just frantic I guess. My husband says they watch for me from every window, running back and forth. It's great to be loved unconditionally!

I really like your site. I'm in college and right now is a stressful time with exams and everything. When I get a little homesick I'll look at some pictures of Shelby and they'll remind me of the pug we have at home.
