An incomplete pack

I came home from work, while Steven was still out on assignment. Which meant that Shelby and I had some girl time together. I fed her, and made sure she swallowed her pill. She was generally a very good girl, however she clearly missed Steven. She sat for a long period of time staring at the door to the garage. I snapped a couple photos, and I didn't quite realize how forlorn she looked.

Aww, poor Shelby! It doesn't help that pugs always look so sad and forlorn with all those wrinkles either! Shelby is so adorable and I love visiting your site regularly to see Shelby's latest happenings and antics. Please keep it up! :)

My pug Seamus peed all over the floor when I came home on Friday from my first business trip in his lifetime. I guess he was a little pissed at me for leaving!

That's so sweet. We have one that is a "daddy's girl" and she starts barking when it's time for him to be home and doesn't stop until he gets home. If he has to be out of town, it's a long night because she will bark off and on during the night.

Woeful, sad eyes-- Miss Shelby is missing her Pack Leader Daddy! Such expressive unspoken actions, she is such a precious Pug..We are glad you adopted her and have given her all the care and love in the world! Hope her health issues are clearing up. It's a joy to see her "growing up" and enjoying her
life as a Pug of Privilege!

I'm sure Shelby misses you when you're not home, as well!

Just found the Shelby site! She looks like a queen. Lost my Pug, Banji a couple of months ago. She was 18 or so years. We rescued her from the local pound. She was our QUEEN too! I miss her very much but I know she is at peace and no longer hurts. I will get a Banji the second in the future, in the meantime I can enjoy looking at Shelby and the other Pugs at Pug resque. See you again soon Shelby here is a big scratch behind the ears! grammie

Our pug Leo also waits for my husband to get home. Since he is working very late these days, Leo has been laying at the top of the stairs so he can see me sleeping in the bedroom, but also hear when my husband comes home from work. It is very sweet to watch him waiting for the rest of the pack.

That Shelby! She makes me feel so sad for her at the same that I say "Awwwww, sooo cute!" Was her welcoming routine anything like what she does when Winnie comes home? (as shown in the world-famous "Winnie's home" video in April)

Yes! Her welcome for Steven is every bit as enthusiastic as the "Winnie's Home" video.

I found your blog yesterday and I love it. I'm getting a pug/Japanese chin mix in two weeks. There are baby pics up at my site right now. Go look at him! I'll be checking you out on a regular basis once I get him home, I might need to ask you for advice. :)

I don't know if you want to do this.Shelby might need a puggy playmate.

Where did you get Shelby's Halloween costume? I want to do something like that for my pup at Halloween.

We bought it from Dog Wyld in Pleasanton, but we drove by recently and discovered they're now closed. So I'm not sure where to get bat wings now.
