Seat belt

Shelby's been with us for almost 2 years, and Steven joked that since we had obviously decided to keep her, that she should have a nice doggie bowl. So we arrived at Molly's Pup-puree in Danville, and a spending spree ensued. One of the purchases was this doggie seat belt. Shelby's still getting used to it. She likes to spin around in the back seat, which only gets her in trouble when she's strapped in.

While we were at the store, Steven tested it for comfort. Shelby seemed like she could hang here all day.

Glad Shelby will be strapped into a safety
gear when riding around in style with her humans! Beautiful photography! Take good care of America's favorite Pug! Love her
so much...her expressions are priceless!!

Shelby looks so adorable and relaxed just "hanging there." I look forward to seeing the photos and your comments about her. Keep 'em coming!

We tried a seatbelt with Sachi too. But the first one from PetFood Express didn't fit correctly(not good for pug). We eventually went with her wearing her Puppia Harness and a seatbelt hook from the makers of her regular harness. It works, but of course...she whines.

You have a wonderful and fun little puggy. She is no doubt a highlight in your lives, as is my Chester. He was a stray! Yes a stray from a no-so-good home. He has been with me for about three years and is the perfect pet. I suspect he is about six or seven. Very calm, very quiet, occaisionally obiedient. That's ok because he is just so perfect.
Two questions for you-
Where did you find the seatbelt? I have looked all over the web and can't seem to find anything more than an anchored leash.

Have you had any issues with your little angel swimming? I have heard pugs can inhale water while swimming which can lead to other issues. Would you please also send me a link to where you found the life jacket?
A general tip that I have found useful. As pugs start to lick their little noses they will get an irritated nose. Vaseline works very well to keep a happy nose. Not their favorite but a treat seems to make it ok very quickly.
I must admit that I own the perfect pet. He is a very calm and gentle boy.
Thank you for the info!!

Chester sounds charming :) Congrats to him on finding a happy home.

As for the seatbelt, I'm assuming you mean the vest that Shelby is wearing. We found this one at a doggie boutique called Mollie's Pup-puree in Danville, but we also like the Puppia harness, and those are available online.

For swimming, we started Shelby with a little life vest for learning to swim. She's not a strong swimmer, but she does fine. She hasn't yet figured out how to get out of the pool, so the life vest is handy to keep her safe. They are available online and at Petsmart. That seems to work pretty well.
