« Snuggling up | Main | Perch part 2 »

We washed Shelby's crate mat and plaed it on top of her crate. I guess she likes the mat. Steven found her perched on top of her crate, as if she was Snoopy.

Wow - did she jump up there all by herself? Pugs are always full of surprises

Pugs are pretty determined little guys!! They aren't exactly stubborn (ok they are!!)but they sure know what they want. The look on Shelby's face is what I see on my guys, sort of "That's nice and clean, but its my blanket and leave it alone next time" Love their personalities.

Oh, this reminded me of my pug, Murphy! When she was little I kept her baby-fenced in the kitchen while I was at work. I put her crate in there, too, so she'd have a "safe place" to sleep or hang out. One day I got home to find Murphy snoozing on the sofa! She had maneuvered her crate over to the gate, jumped up on top, and jumped over the gate! I thought to myself, what a silly pug, that was just a fluke that she took advantage of. It turned out I was the one who was silly, because the same thing happened the next day!! It was then that she graduated from being contained during the day to having free run of the apartment. So smart!! :)
