Watching the Parade

There was a parade downtown. We went with Shelby. She had a good time. It was hot, so we brought ice water, and took it easy getting there and back.

Boy It's hot, it is very HOT here too in Las Vegas.
Today, I took winston out after seven & it was dry. (like i was back home in the philippines minus the humidity). I wetted down my pug & now he is sleeping, tired from the heat.

here in philippines, everyday's pretty much a hot day. even in rainy damp seasons, it's still very humid and warm. that's why my pug gingko takes a bath everyday. yes, everyday. it's been a routine for him that at about 12pm he'd bark at his towel and stand by the sink for his daily dip. it's strange coz he's the only dog i know who looks forward to his bath and enjoys it. it took about two weeks from about the time i got him for him to get use to the daily bath. at first im quite worried about his skin and coat getting dry but i compensate by applying conditioner after the shampoo. i've never seen any other pug that smells better than my gingko.

Its hot here in Oregon today and has been for the past few days. Niles and Auggie just hang out in front of the fan or lay on the nice cool kitchen floor. A few years ago when the Oregon Humane Society started what they call the Pug Crawl, they held it in August. 100+ pugs walking in SE Portland in the heat, panting like crazy and hiding under cars for shade. The humane society finally got a clue, the yearly event is now held in May, its usually a little rainy but way better than the hot sun.

I wish it was hot here! I'm on the east coast, and it has been raining for days on end! Poor Toby hates the rain. Even worse, our yard is like a swamp land right now. Pugs and mud - not a good combination!
