Your advertising dollars at work

I started running Google ads on Shelby's blog a while back. 4 times a year, I get a check from Google for about $100 for running the ads. Usually I spend the money on food, snacks, and toys for Shelby. But I've been thinking for a while that I would like to help out some less fortunate pugs. The latest ad earnings went to Little Angels Pug Rescue based in Southern California.

(Don't worry, Shelby is still getting her treats and toys.)

That is so sweet. I really think that is such a nice idea. I'm sure Shelby would approve. I would be interested to know how you got started with the ads? I have a site also and would like to perhaps look at trying this out. Any thoughts/comments?

How wonderful. I love it. I'm sure Shelby is grateful that her pug family is getting assistance.

heart warming. it sure is nice to know we were able to help. i cant imagine my baby even going hungry or being abandoned, much like any other pet or living thing. In behalf of my baby, we'd like to thank you, steve, and especially shelby for making us part of your great work.

The ads are from Google. Google Adsense is pretty easy to setup, provided that the blogging service you use allows you to copy and paste ads into the template.

Cool! I'm still waiting on my first check from Google.

Also, I was just "tagged" -- and I'm tagging Shelby. It's a blogging game where you list weird things about your dog. Follow the link to see the rules.

Winnie - I think you deserve a big hug So few people today would think of doing such an un-selfish thing. We all love our Pugs, but there are so many little guys that didn't get blessed with loving parents.

My Louie has been abandoned twice in his life. Once to the pound and once at my door. It breaks my heart to think about an animal with so much unconditional love could just leave them.

One day I truly hope to meet you and Shelby.

Much Love Eric & Louie

Pug rescues always have such great pugs! My Gracie came from pug rescue (DFW Pug Rescue); she was 10 when she came to live with me after being a victim of a divorce. What an awesome pug!
