At the car show

This weekend, Shelby came with us to the Billetproof car show. The show is very ... gritty? I'm not sure that's the right description, but it's definitely not the typical car show. This is the only car show that we've ever brought her to, and I was quite happy about it, and so was Shelby. Lots of interesting smells at the event. And she met a few other nice doggies and got lots of pets and scratches from smiling people.

Ticket taker: "What kind of pit bull is that?"
Steven: "The harmless kind" :)

Waiting for Tritip sandwiches
Here is Shelby waiting for Tritip sandwiches. She tried to cut in line several times. The pug has no manners or sense. At this show, it's unwise to get between a hungry man and his tritip.

Shelby a pitbull?! That's sooo funny. Love it. I guess the fella doesn't know his doggies very well ...

Pit-Bull??..that's a new one on me too...my guys are called Bull-Dogs too...oh well not everyone is privileged like we are to know Pugs first hand...its so nice to see doggies involved with their peoples' hobbies..our guys love going to horse shows with us..the food court is their favorite of course...and we should set up a "PET THE PUG" for $1.00 booth...we could make a ton of pocket change!!!! Now that its Fall Fair season we also have something else to take them out to on the weekends....

Shelby looks good next to the show cars!
Hope she got a nibble of the Tri Tip sandwiches? Sounds like Shelby had a fun outing with her humans--I don't think she resembles pit bulls at all. Too precious!

here in the philippines where pure breed dogs are not that common, my pug gingko have been mistaken for a lot more different than a dog.

going out from the vet we encountered a mom and her daughter.

mom: look, baby. look at his dog.
daughter: ay... how come it looks like a monkey?

Wow! We almost went to that too. Oh my goodness, I could have met Shelby in person.
We saw the several cars before the show as they were on their way.

Shelby looks so nice! A very cool doggie!

Ooooh, Shelby the pit bull. You'd better watch out. You make Shelby mad, she's capable of anything. Lick your nose, tug off your socks and lick your toes, anything.

"The harmless kind." so clever!

Omigosh, I thought only Mylo gets mistaken for a pitbull but now Shelby! I just don't understand how a pug can be compared to a pit bull? LMAO!

Wait, did I read see that someone hasn't been introduced to the wonder of a tritip sandwich? They are fabulous, and a staple at any outdoor event on the west coast. I don't know what part of the cow the tritip comes from, and I kinda don't want to know. But people spice it up, and barbeque it, and it's just great.

And yes, Shelby's patience did pay off, she got a bit of tritip from both Steven and me. :)

that was me. i've only been to the west coast once, for a wedding. other than that a couple trips to florida, i don't leave new england ;)

Pit Bull, that is so funny. My pug Archie always gets called a bull dog! The most common thing we hear though is "look it's the dog from Men in Black!!!" So funny.

ya..that one too is very common...my guys are both called FRANK !!!!

Aww, you guys have a cute doggy! She looks quite small because of the much larger cars. It seems like a fun place for dogs who love to chase after cars...
