Shelby and Angie

Angie is one of the most well behaved dogs to visit our house. She's not that interested in other dogs, though I'm told she's a tennis ball addict. This didn't stop Shelby from meeting her. (You can see Shelby closing in on Angie's rear to sniff it.)

Their butts are where all the information is. In dog society, it's impolite(and aggressive) to go face to face before a butt sniff. Unfortunately, dogs don't have pockets to keep business cards in.

My Cody, a golden retriever who left for the "bridge" last month, was a tennis ball addict, too. He always had at least one in his mouth.I'm still finding them all over the house...and still leaving them there, to find again.

Yes, little Muggins is quite the butt-sniffer as well. We go to the local pug meetups out here and you get these big butt-sniff-circles of several pugs.

If Shelby could talk to her people, or if you could "hear" Shelby's thoughts for
a few days, what would Shelby want to say?
