Stairway to sunshine

Shelby is staying with mom for a few days. She's having a good time. No doubt mom is spoiling her, and we will get a fairly rotten pug when Shelby returns.

Mom sent me these photos today of Shelby sleeping on the stairs.

And as the sun moved, Shelby climbed up to the next stair to continue her sunbathing.

Shelby and the carpet are the same color. A good house guest always should try & blend in. Exactly what does a spoiled Pug do? I've never met one. julir.

That is too cute! I love the way she longingly looks at the sunshine. Its funny that pugs love the sun so much. My pug would sometimes sunbathe in the back yard in the mid day sun (we live in very hot and humid climate)!

Of course your mom is going to spoil Shelby! This is what grandmothers are supposed to do!

Shelby is a big girl now! Does she still
fit across Steven's shoulders? How about
on your lap while you are working away?
Shelby is the beloved guest at Grandma's
home too? Lucky Pug.

She could, mostly because Steven's shoulders are broad :)

But she doesn't climb up that high anymore. The highest she goes is getting her front paws over Steven's shoulders. Often this is accompanied by a pug lick fest.

She still fits on my lap, but sometimes she cuts off my circulation, and I have to ask her to move. :)

I lay right next to the wood-burning stove in the Florida Room. Even if I'm hot as hot can be, there I am right by the stove!!!

What a great photo. I love sitting in the sun. When my dog Krystal first arrived, I found her sitting in the sun. I knew we were kindred spirits.

I thot pugs with their punch in faces and flat noses are told to avoid the sun as they might get breathing difficulties? Why do your pugs like the sun so much?
