2008 begins with....technical difficulties

Well I know I've been remiss in updating the blog for a few days. The camera is on the fritz. The aperature won't open so all my photos turn out black. Last time I fixed it by smacking it like a caveman. That time honored technique isn't working this time.

With that, I'll give you a non-photo update on Shelby. We've recently started watching the Planet Earth DVD series. Shelby quite likes it. She's particularly interested in bird sounds, and there's plenty of that in disc one. (Some of you may also remember that Shelby loved Winged Migration too.) She periodically rushes up to the TV and stands on her hind legs to watch the birds, foxes, and small animals. Right now, she's sitting intently on Steven's lap, watching disc two of the series.

That's cute! When dogs, horses, etc. run off the left edge of the TV, Roscoe runs into the adjacent room, presumably to greet them when they arrive. He's normally quite bright, but hasn't quite figured out that the animals never, ever show up in the next room.

Hope you can get everything fixed up soon....always such a nuisance (not to mention expensive) when that stuff happens...would love to see Shelby studying the TV....thanks for the update...We were missing you!!!

Nibbles enjoys cartoons. The bright flashes of color really get him. He also likes pizza commercials, because he knows what doorbells mean (even though there isn't one on the new house) and runs to the door barking when there's a doorbell on tv.

Uh, hope those cavemen from the insurance ads don't read this!
Seriously, I can just imagine Shelby watching TV -- it must be hysterical to see her reactions!

I just bought a FujiFilm S700 and love it. It's my first high end camera (my first digi-cam was a Kodak EasyShare) and takes some getting used to but it takes FAB pictures!

Missed you. I so look forward to the part of my busy day at work where I get to relax for a few minutes and see what Shelby's up to. I have four pugs and I think they may be tired of me walking around muttering "if Shelby can do this, why can't YOU guys?"
