Watering hole

Guilty

Shelby, you are very sloppy when you drink, and are no longer allowed to drink water in the kitchen. You keep dripping water all over the wood floor, and now the wood looks horrible. And even though you think you are fooling us, we know that you are not really that thirsty, and you use the water bowl as an excuse to come into the kitchen to see if anything has dropped.

Watering hole

Here's your new watering hole. You can drink in the bathroom, where the floor is a nice linoleum and doesn't care if you drip water all over it. It's a little farther for you to do, but I know you are a smart doggie, and you'll figure it out.

(Sorry about the crappy photographs. Digital camera's still broken, so I'm using the cameraphone.)

Ha! That's funny, I've wondering if the dribbling was a pug thing. My Boston is nowhere near as messy as my pug is when she drinks. I swear, it's like she forgets to close her mouth.

My boy does the same thing! I think he does it on purpose so I step in all that water!
He always double checks his food bowl too.. just incase! :)

Ruby is a neat drinker, but she always walks away with a bead of water on her chin and comes to look at me. I don't know if she is proud of it or wants me to wipe it off ROFL.

My Pugsley dribbles water when he drinks too. It's that short puggy muzzle.
What really makes a mess is the teenage kitties who put toys in the water bowl, and then when they're good and soggy, they fish them out, and bat them around on the floor. There is now a towel surrounding the water bowl. You wouldn't believe how much water a catnip mouse can absorb.

Pugs are notoriously sloppy drinkers and eaters. Their lack of snout makes it difficult to catch everything. Mia does the same thing (leaving drip spots all over the floor). It's a pug thing!

My pug, Auggie, leaves huge puddles all over the kitchen floor after he takes a drink. Its a tile floor but it still is a pain when I walk into the kitchen with socks or bare feet. My other pug, Niles, doesn't leave a mess so I am not quite sure what the deal is.

She'll be alright...as long as you don't replace her waterbowl with the toilet!
