Happy Chinese New Year

Happy belated Chinese New Year everyone! I celebrated by throwing out my back, visiting the massage therapist, and then we all went to mom and dad's for Chinese New Year dinner. Quite an exciting day. Sorry for not posting sooner, but when you're flat on your back...well, there are other priorities. :)

As for Shelby, she donned her little dress, and whined in the car all the way to mom's where she promptly ran into the house and forgot all about Steven and me.

And for good reason. Mom is the "giver of rib bones"

Shelby didn't even pose for the camera. She was too busy chowing down.

Since I was still sore from the whole back debaucle, Mom was kind enough to watch Shelby for us for a few days. She emailed me a few photos of Shelby. Here she is being slightly more photogenic, however I know that she's staring at the kitchen from where she's laying.

Dear Winnie, please take good care of yourself and wish you a speedy recovery.
Hope you don't have to carry Shelby for a while, don't want your back muscles to be
strained. The Chinese Dress still fits
Shelby? Great....Grandma's beef bones are
a big hit with your little puggie.

One track minds those pugs.

I hope you feel better soon. I've spent a few days on the floor myself and it's no fun!

Glad to see even though Shelby enjoys a rich life of goodies and day trips to many places her girlish figure is still a top consideration......her little Chinese dress still fits her beautifully!!!! Take care of yourself Winnie...and feel better soon...

I hope your back feels better. No pug lifting for a while...Shelby's New Year's outfit is precious...Pugs will be pugs...Funny how they always pick the best place to sit with full view of the kitchen..(Just in case) Your Mom sure knows how to spoil Shelby...

Happy Chinese New Year! They say it's supposed to be the (Year of the Rat) but honestly, it should be the YEAR OF THE PUG, no?! Oh, and I hope you feel better, soon!!!

Why is there no Year of the Pug? Pugs originally CAME from China! They deserve their own year!

I believe that there is a Chinese Year of The Dog, Year of The Rat, Year of the Rooster, Year of the Snake, Year of the Horse, Year of The Dragon, Year of the Ram,
and Year of The Monkey, and a few more to
total 12. Anyone know the remaining animals?

I am beginning to think that Winston and Clementine like their grammaw and granpaw better than me and my husband as well. Doesn't help that they feed them off the table, let them get on all the furniture, give them treats for doing absolutely nothing, etc etc. Oh well, even puggies need some spoiling sometimes!
