Everybody neat and pretty?

Steven took Shelby to PetSmart to be groomed. Usually I do this, but since she badly needed a nail trim, and Steven and I were really tired from all the unpacking, we decided to send her to the groomers at PetSmart.

There's pros and cons to it, depending on the PetSmart. It happened that it was a very busy day, and Shelby doesn't like being abandoned by her people and more than she likes getting her nails trimmed. Being a groomer is a pretty tough job, especially when it comes to trimming her nails. It's also ridiculously cheap for what they do. $17 for a bath, blow dry, ear cleaning, nail trim AND a bandana? Unfortunately, Shelby probably spent more time there than she needed because Steven assumed they would call him when they were done, and they didn't.

Everybody neat and pretty?

But she came home looking sassy and smelling nice

Trim nails, clean ears

Clean ears and trimmed nails too!

That's good because Shelby spent the following day entertaining 2 boys by performing tricks, and getting chased around. She hasn't gotten this much attention from us in a long time, and she just ate it up.

Wow, $17 for grooming? That's so expensive!

Is 17 expensive? It's cheaper than a lot of other places around here, and given the grief that Shelby gives them over a nail trimming (it takes 2 groomers to clip her nails) I'm just happy they are still willing to take her.

$17 is a great deal. We shave our little pugalicious every summer. Cuts down on shedding and he looks so cute!!!

$17.00 is a great price for grooming! Do you have to get her anal glands "expressed" as well? We have to get Puggy Bubbles' bottom squeezed about once a month or so. If we don't, she "scoots" her bum all over the rug.

Shelby's ears look, clean and pink and
healthy. Glad you found a PetSmart that
could clip Shelby's nails and keep her
calm until you got her back home. The
bandana looks great on Miss Shelby!
I think she was looking forlorn until you
paid her some attention and gave her a
grooming session. Thanks Mom and Pop.

That's a good deal, but you could have gotten lots of treats for that amount!

That is a good price for all of that work. Petco in so. ca. charges $35 for grooming which includes anal glands and nails with a bath. Pugs are big babys when it comes to trimming their nails. She will probably sulk until the treats start coming... Then she will love you again because she looks and smells soooo good...

We think its worth it too! Its alot easier to get someone else to do it.. especially the nails.. we squeak and cry like babies when mummy tried to trim ours at home!!
