Moving...sucks

I don't think very many people enjoy the actual process of moving, myself included. No pictures today because I just barely got the Internet working. There's not a lot in this world that can send me into a flying rage, unfortunately setting up a wireless Linksys router is one of them.

But here's the Shelby update.

We sent her to stay with my mom for a week while we packed. Poor pug wasn't getting any attention from us while we were packing. At mom's she got beef broth in her water, and 2 walks a day. Mom was very careful to maintain Shelby's weight while she was there. Dad, however, enjoyed hosting a guest who enjoyed peanuts, as evidenced in Shelby's poops.

We're in the new house now, and I'm quite embarassed to show you how disheveled it looks, but I'll get a picture up in the next day or so. For now, both Steven and I are absolutely exhausted from the experience. The only family member taking this in stride is Shelby. She seems to be OK so long as we're around. Plus...she didn't have to move any of her stuff.

Just the idea of moving is enough to give me nightmares! And I don't even have a dog ... yet.

Shelby will have fun exploring her new home.

Moving last year 2006 just before Christmas and then after Christmas moving my mother, who is in the middle stages of Alzheimers, in with us, along with 3 dogs and 2 cats was a total nitemare. Added to the stress was that we could not put up a wood fence so had to keep the see-thru (get-thru) short iron fence and strech other fencing around it and tie it to the other fence in the snow so the dogs would not get out. But at least it is done and this year has been GREAT---we even just got a new baby----PUG!!! Her name is Maggie and she is Black with a single curl tail. So now we have a 6 year old Doxie, a 5 year old Chi, a 4 year old Peke, and a 3 month old Pug and still the 2 cats---I love my furry family SOOOOOO much!!!!!

I know how it goes.. Linksys is the root of all evil and when you call them for help it is either a) your computer or b) your internet. Never them!!

Glad the move went well!!

Congratulations on your new home!

I was worried about Pearl when we moved 2 years ago but she was great. She seemed a little out of sorts - barking at nothing more than usual - but she quickly adapted.

Ah yes, we have one of those darling Linksys. They truly are a barrel of fun. Glad Miss Shelby is such a trooper though. Our pug didn't like it when we remodeled and moved the furniture.

When Shelby comes into her new home,
I hope she will be so busy making the
house "hers" that she won't present any
worries or problems until you get your
second wind and can settle in a little bit.
Hope you, Steven and Shelby will continue
to be a Very happy family with spacious
new digs.

I rememeber like it was yesterday we moved
here to Nevada from California. Ick. It was
too much. We moved into two story house, which our first home wasn't. He had a blast going up and down the stairs that he went no.# 2 (crazy pug).the first week we moved in. hmm.

Actually, that was the first thing Shelby did in the house too. Took a big dump right in the middle of the room. Luckily we had plastic on the ground, plus it was our fault because I didn't know where the litter box had been placed.
