Partners in Tummy Time

When I was a baby, we were supposed to sleep on our tummies so that if we spat up milk, we wouldn't choke. Nowadays, babies are supposed to sleep on their backs to reduce the chance of SIDS. That means that babies need "tummy time" to build up their muscles.

Shelby is a pro at this, and hangs out with Vin while he gets in his tummy time (which he hates).

It is so nice to see how well Shelby has adjusted. Kudos to you for not forgetting your "first" child with the arrival of little Vin. Who, by the way, is absolutely
GORGEOUS! You are very blessed Winnie and I love reading about your adventures. My pug and I read your blog every day. Shelby is his celebrity girlfriend. :-)

I have to agree with the above comment. It's so refreshing to see a new parent who's love for their furry child is unaltered. I LOVE the Shelby and Vin pics (I mean, what's cuter than a pug with a baby?) and look forward to more in the future.

OMG!! Has time flown by so quickly that the baby is holding his head up already? I know that I've been really busy at work, but.... We just lost one of our pugs Tuesday and I didn't really think I would smile so soon at anything pertaining to pugs. But your site does it for me every time. Thank you so much for sharing your life.

I can almost hear Shelby say, "Watch me, Vin, I am an ole pro at this tummy thing."

We like to see Baby Vin growing and thriving and his face will keep changing as he grows older, so please continue to share the adventures of Shelby and Vin with all your fans! Winnie, I hope you are feeling stronger and can have time to enjoy your new homes. Grandma deserves a lot of credit for all her efforts in creating an organized home environment while you were healing.

2 absolutely beautiful babies, thanks for posting baby vin and shelby together, they are so adorable. shelby looks like she's taking her nanny duties very seriously, telling little vin, "here, just lay like this, it's easy."

chinapug, our deepest sympathy at the lost of your pug, it's terrible, i know, that pain is really intense. god be with you.

I don't know if you're familiar with the Lifetime channel in your area but they are having a pet picture contest. Shelby's Yoda picture would be a winner! You could win a day at a spa for you and Shelby, which might sound pretty good to you about now. Give them a look at Lifetime.com.

What's SIDS?

Whatabout pics of Vin & Shelby from Vin's month old red egg & ginger party?

Posted by: Mel | Jun 4, 2008 11:59:55 PM

We haven't had Vin's red egg and ginger party yet. Traditionally, it's at 30 days, but anytime before the first 100 days is OK.

SIDs is Sudden Infant death Syndrome. Kinda morbid. No one's sure as to what the cause is yet, but sleeping on the back seems to help reduce the risk.
