A little slice of nature

Lake Chabot

Shelby's out on a family hike at Lake Chabot park. It's been a pretty dry year, so no water at this waterfall. But it's still quite pretty.

Sharing

Oh but when the pug gets tired, guess who has to share his stroller?

That is so funny. Vin looks like he is shocked that he has to share his stroller. Where did you get Shelby's Harness?

Brother Vin will just have to rest his
little tootsies on your back, Shelby!
You keep careful watch of your humans, please!

Hmmm...is Vin sharing his stroller...or is Shelby sharing hers?

We bought it recently at a local dog store called Murphy's Paw. It doesn't fit as well as the Puppia harness she used to have, but hair doesn't stick to it as readily. the Puppia harness was getting a little gross.

What r the advantages of wearing a harness?

Did shelby get onto the stroller on her own or did someone carry her on? So cute!!

I'm a lurker. I haven't commented but a couple of times since you started this blog. I just wanted to let you know that I really enjoy it, and I hope you keep doing it for a long time. My life is kind of a sob story right now... example, it's Thanksgiving and I'm spending it alone with just my two dogs, after 10 years of having spent it with both my family and my husband's family. Half my family is dead and the other half is estranged now, and my husband and I are divorcing. It's pretty rough. I guess I wrote all that because I wanted you to know just how much good you do with this blog, it's pretty hard to bring a smile to my face but you manage to do it and it's been the only smile so far. Shelby and Vin are such characters. Shelby has always been amazing in front of the camera and with her antics but even Vin has way more expressions that fit the picture than most infants do. Either that, or you have a phenomenal skill with photos. But they always make me smile, and it doesn't hurt that Shelby and Vin are the exact same size, height, and girth as one another right now. ;) Too, too cute.

Hi Brandie & Nadine,

It's cool of you both to put your situations out there even though your identities are unknown. I feel v encouraged that i am not the only one who atkes emotional comfort and inspiration from this family blog. It gives me strength and motivation to press on when my husband and I (no kids) quarrel about our pug and it's demands. Ann Cargo, you r wise in saying many ppl out there feel this way. And i always thought I was the only one.

i agree that the puppia harnesses are the best for pugs.....my four all have them, and yes, they do catch the hair but i wash them in the machine (front loader) and dry for about 5 minutes on low and they come out fine......don't dry them all the way, just enough to get the hair off.
