Teething Toast

teething toast
Vin is old enough to feed himself a snack. Here he is with a teething toast. It's basically, a gigantic crouton. He sucks on it. It gets soggy. Some makes it into his mouth, but a lot ends up all over him. I'll sometimes brush him off in front of Shelby so she can get the crumbs.

want some?
Hey hey! Don't give that to Shelby yet. You've just started eating it!

He thinks feeding Shelby is great fun. I've seen him offer her his toast, she'll lick it, and then he'll stick it back in his mouth. GROSS!

I moved him to the kitchen so I could keep an eye on him so that wouldn't happen again. I was tidying up the kitchen while he dutifully ate his toast, and Shelby stayed on her mat. But I had to leave briefly to get something, and upon my return I find a boy who is rather proud of himself, and an suspicious looking pug.

toast is gone!

Son....where's your toast?

nobody's talking
As usual, nobody's talking.

such cute and "innocent" faces! They are partners in crime, no doubt. Vin is adorable and his bubbly personality shines through your pictures! Shelby is a great teacher and babysitter.....

Hey, at least Shelby's helping The Vin build up the ol' immunity system.

:)

Aaw, I came upon your blog when I was researching dog allergies. I since then have caught up and aaaw Shelby and Vin are sooo cute together! Hey, Shelby is helping his immune system. Just wait til there's dirt eating going on that will be even more "fun".

Oh that hilarious!

We had that problem too. We also had the problem of the boys eating the dog/cat food.

What fun!

There goes Shelby's girlish figure! Vin looks so so proud and happy that he fed his pup all by himself. Bet Shelby grinned and wiggled and reinforced his behaviour. Not to worry, soon they will have matching flora.
I wonder when Vin will start exiting the house via that doggie door?

Oh! Vin has a bib with shelby's face! Vin IS the cutest baby I've seen by far (and I don't like babies) but I think my Fubsy is cuter. :}

you're outnumbered winnie. they'll double team you forever. my pug and baby girl do the same in our house. they share food (even though he is supposed to be on a diet), kisses and toys. you get resigned to it.

Might as well give up now, Winnie. No reason to fight the inevitable! My boy and all his dogs have shared for years...no one has ever come to any harm...except maybe the dogs' waistlines are a bit pudgier. They double teamed me every chance they got. I finally got to where I just shrugged and laughed. Boys and dogs do what they do....

How cute is that!!!! Love babies and pugs! Pugs make a wonderful pet for babies. They are so gentle and just as curious as the baby. Keep the wonderful pictures and stories coming. Thanks for sharing them with your public family. My BonnieBoo loves all of our grands and their treats.

Oh, but Mommy, it's nice to share!
How could you be mad at that face?! What a beautiful boy he is! You need to have a whole housefull of babies!

Is that rectangular border on the glass door behind shelby an opening for her to go in and out of the house?

Yes, it's pretty convenient, and super easy to install.
