Poor Shelby puts up with a lot

Poor Shelby. She's got a little brother who really wants to play with her, but is really clumsy about how he does it. Vin will often run off with that little orange toy hoping that Shelby will chase him for it. If she doesn't, he comes back and waves it in front of her face, although sometimes it seems more like he's smacking her in the face.

And the tail! What child can resist grabbing that tail?!

And the bed! Who could resist messing up her bed?

Poor Shelby. You sure are a nice patient doggie. We sure are proud of you.

Busy boy! I have a niece the same age, and she's a wild woman! Shelby is such a good girl.

Shelby doesn't look any the worse for wear....My Teddy Bear plays way rougher than that with our old Kricket...running into her knocking her in the face as he goes by...that's the way my pugs play with each other....and the tail...WELLL...all curly like that even I grab Kricket's tail every morning and wave it as I say good morning......Nice to see a video showing ALL THE ACTION !!! Thanks Winnie....I still so enjoy peeking in on your little family.....

I realize this comment may be a little lenghty, but I want to dispell a Pug myth. I have three whose tricks until recently have consisted of: one will speak (for food), one will roll over (for food), and one will walk on a leash and when I stop will automatically sit. Last summer I got a 7 month old Boxer. She is very energetic and smart, so to keep her mind occupied I have been teaching her tricks. She knows sit, down, she waves, and she says Mama (not on command). A few weeks ago I bought a hulahoop and it took one afternoon to teach her to jump thru it. Now we are learning a more challenging trick: dead dog. This is a challenge because she actually has to stay still for about 10 seconds. Dispelling the myth: one of my Pugs had been watching her jump thru the hoop and all the praise after. Well, now when I hold the hoop upright with the edge on the floor, she will walk thru it. It took 2 days to get her to do this, and I doubt that I'll ever see her four feet leave the floor, but hey..I never expected to see her do this much. While doing the dead dog, my other pug watched and decided she could do this. And being a Pug there was no problem staying still for 10 seconds. She would probably go to sleep if I didn't make a fuss about her being a good, clever Pug. So I guess they will do tricks for food and also not to be shown up by some big dumb dog! After having Pugs for over 25 years they can still amaze me. And anyone that has any suggestions for tricks, please, let me know. I'm running out of ideas and the boxer is not running out of energy. Love your site, it's on my favorites and it's the first thing I look at when I get to work in the morning. Shelby and Vin are both adorable. Keep posting your pics!!!

...yup..chinapug...animals in general are soooo much more amazing than we think , aren't they..and actually one of the easiest ways to teach horses manners..going out for the first few scarey trail rides away from home and so on..is just what you have found...get another horse..to show them how...

The video clips are so cute! Just be aware that glass coffee tables and toddlers do not mix well.
