Photos from the party

Pug and Boy attended their first birthday party last weekend, and my cousin just sent photos of the event. Here's a photo of Vin, milk'in it.

Milkin' it

I know, I know. He's 16 months and still sucking milk out of a bottle. Though he know how to use a sippy cup and a straw, he doesn't seem to like anything but water in them. When I give him milk with a straw, he spits it out like it's medicine. (We're working on it.) Vin ate plain spaghetti and part of a hot dog, and because he's a sloppy eater, this pretty much means Shelby at them too.

Emboldened by the abundant snacks, she really started pushing her luck.

Begging for cake

No Shelby, you cannot "have any cake," nor can "you eat it too."

(and yes, Steven's sitting in Vin's stroller.)

You are so slim after giving birth? How did you do that? Is it cos of all that housework?

What a cute litter beggar Shelby is! I'm sure she felt as a guest at the party that she was entitled to a piece of cake, too, and couldn't quite understand why no one would serve her! Dang, if she only had a opposable thumb!

I didn't like straws when I was little cause I sucked in too much air and afterwards had a belly ache.

Sixteen months isn't too bad. It's when they're running around and big enough to be potty trained and still doing the bottle that it looks a bit wierd.

At least poor Shelby got to enjoy second hand spaghetti and hot dogs. Doesn't Vin like cake?

Aha- the real reason Steven wanted such a manly stroller is revealed!

Hi Percy,

Maybe it's the chores around the house, but I think that's unlikely as the house is still a mess. I think it's chasing after a busy boy, lack of sleep, combined with working full time. Despite this particular day, I try to eat somewhat healthy, so that probably helps.
