Happy Christmaween?

Vin could not bear to cut up the pumpkin that my mom's neighbor grew for him on Halloween. The one in our pictures were from the pumpkin patch.

On Thanksgiving I asked him if he wanted to make it into a pie or soup. He said he wanted to keep it.

Well it seems like he was finally ready to do something with the pumpkin so here's our first ever Christmas jack o lantern. All the sweet talking in the world did not convince him to let me carve it in the shape of Jack Skellington, so we settled on a Santa snowman. (Oops, no carrot in the house)

Shelby is probably confused, but it smells like food so it's probably a good idea by her standards.

Just curious, what do you use to carve such a hard pumpkin. Cos we dun carve pumpkins like that here in Singapore.

It's a Halloween tradition around here, and they sell little pumpkin caving knives at the pumpkin patch and at the grocery stores. They're like little dull saws, so that kids won't cut themselves.
