I love this! We chart our pugs' growth on a door in the bonus room. Kea's staying pretty petite at 9.8 lbs @ 7 mos old. Ike's up to 16 at 10 mos. I love the photos you take of Shelby!

I have looked all over on line trying to find a growth chart on pugs. I hadn't had any luck. Yours does help! How old is your shelby now & how much does she weigh? On little dogs like Yorkies you double there weight @ 12 wks. I fiqured there would be something on line that would show a pug. No luck though. Thanks Sherri

She's 4 years old now, and holding at 19 lbs. For a while she hit 22lbs, but she was definitely obese at that point, given her height and length.

Maggie is now 4mos. old and is almost 10 pounds. She looks thin to me and is very active. Same coloring as Shelby.
My male Mac, Maggie's brother, is holding at 9lbs. He is definity broader, shorter and looks heavier.

Love them both.

Hi, i just got a pug and dont know anything about them. At waht age do they start getting teeth? the place i bought it from stated she is 5 months but she has no front teeth.. i was wondering .. thanks

My pug definitely had teeth at 5 months. in fact he had teeth at 2 months when we got him and then without my knowing, they fell off and new ones replaced so there was never a time when myt pug was without teeth.

You should check with a professional on your pug.

Good Luck!!

Hi~! I have two pugs , our first Archie (fawn 12 month weighing in at 23.5lbs) and our second Mollie (black is almost 8 months weighing in at 14lbs), our female is growing slower than our male and I am concerned she is underweight. What do you think?

Cheers Eliza (Melbourne, Australia)

I was so pleased to find a pug growth chart as with many others ... oddly you can't find one online. Our pug weighed in at 3.14lbs at 7 weeks so he may follow the same growth pattern.

Is this a personal file or available somewhere? I'd love to track Brodie's progress and the format is perfect. Also, do you have his weight up to 1 year and beyond?

Thanks for sharing. Love the pics & info as you can never learn too much about your precious pug.

Maggie is truly a adorable companion. At 8mos-- Maggie 15.6

The vet said Maggie is purfect weight and I only feed her healthy treats, like sweet potatoe jerky,veg-fruit biscuits etc. Eukaba adult food I will say this she is very active, so this also helps keep her weight in a good range. Love my Pug

My pug at 6 weeks weighs 38.8 ozs. How is that when compared to standards?

also how many times a day should he be fed?

I have 3 pug puppies, they are 2 weeks and 3 days old and weigh 14.5 oz
13 oz
13 oz the boy being the heavier weight, can you tell me is this a ok weight for their age?

Gosh, I'm not sure. We got Shelby at 9 weeks, and we didn't keep track of her weight that early.

My pug just had a litter of gorgeous puppies (4 weeks ago Thursday). They are all weighing in between 2.7-3.0 lbs (there was actually no runt in the litter). Momma has never been more than 15.5 lbs except during her pregnancy and dad is about 18 lbs. Spyro (before she was nursing) was eating 2X daily, about 2/3 cup of food at east sitting. I also have a collie who is picky about her food and it always sits on the floor... Spyro never touches it. Pugs, though greedy, will actually let you know if they're being overfed--they tend to throw it up.

I have a pug cockapoodle named Sophie. She is 4 mnths and I am having a hard time figuring out what size she will grow to. Her mom is a pug cockapoodle she weighed 10 pounds and her dads a pug weighing 15 pounds. Any advice you can give would be great.
Thanks

I've never seen a pug cockadoodle. Email the photo to shelby (at) gopugyourself (dot) com or post it to flickr and send me the link. :)

52 lbs! That is very dangerous! For everyone's information the average healthy weight for a pug is between 14-18 pounds. Obviously you will get some a bit larger or smaller that can be healthy and happy as well. My little boy is 6.5 months and is currently only 9 pounds. The vet says he is healthy and that is my main concern.

I got my pug about 3 weeks ago, he's almost 3 months (12wks) old. I love him to death, he's so cute, he's house trained already. Very playfull, with my grandsons and all else. I've always wanted a pug for along time, I couldn't afford one, my daughter bought him for me, right down the street from where we live, I couldn't believe he was so close. I love his curly tail, he's so cute, I'll love him forever!!!!
