« Harrassing the mailman | Main | Shelby shows her toys who's boss »

Shelby was stalking something under the couch last night. She sat there watching, but not eating it. I thought is was a spider, and I didn't want her to eat it, so I distracted her with a good game of tug. Shelby's already stalked and eaten a couple spiders, and according to Steven, she had some fun at a cricket's expense.

The spider is hard to see. It's a little speck in the grout that Shelby is intensely staring at. Though, now that I look at this photo, maybe it just was a small feather.

Much to our amazement, they ARE still dogs, aren't they? They still hunt things and hump things too! The trick is to let them know you're still the boss! My Daisey May, who is also 11 months old, humps the other dog, Chloey(lab) and she definately dominates her! She also takes over when Chloey finds something to hunt or stalk! They are so comical, they is never a dull moment around here, that's for sure! And Daisey is a terrible thief! Is Shelby that way too? This morning she stole my nightgown when I was in the shower!

Shelby's a bit of a theif. She likes our laundry, especially stinky socks. But she' usually the smallest dog wherever she goes, and will lie on her back for just about any dog, so more than likely other dogs steal things from her. One dog she was playing with, took a greenie right out of Shelby's mouth, and Shelby just sat there.
