Good paw

Shelby's feeling better.

When Shelby stopped licking her paw, I noticed that it looked a lot like past ear infections, which were essentially yeast infections. So I figured there was nothing to lose by cleaning the paw, and putting some of her ear infection ointment on thepaw. It worked! Shelby's paw is back to normal, which is great, because sitting on my lap with the cone was just not working for me.

So glad for Shelby's sake and your peace of mind that you tried a past remedy and it worked. Shelby definitely loves sitting
and resting on her people's lap, back, feet, neck, and wherever she can fit!
Pugs must have some ancient special breeding in them that gives them the urge to plop down wherever they please! Stay well Shelby. We love you!

Shelby doesn't seem to mind the cone in the picture, but we're sure glad she's feeling better. Go Shelby!

Puppies are probably a lot like people in that you want to continue taking the antibiotic after the infection appears to be gone. We don't want it coming back resistant to the medicine!

My parents' beagle has a similar problem -- She consistently gets yeast infections over her body, especially her paws.

She's also got significant allergies (including grass). The problem mostly went away when she went on an allergen free diet along with allergy shots.

My Junior had chronic paw problems. Yeast, bug bites, mites, you name it he had it. At one point, he had to wear a cone and baby socks. Combined with our slippery wooden floors, he was quite the sight. Plus we had to soak his paws once a day, something he was none to happy about. I'm glad Shelby is feeling better.

Does Shelby take naps when she gets tuckered out? Do all puggies get overly
tired after an exciting day? I am sure
the energy levels expended are high and
all good little puggies catch a snooze
now and then on their human's lap?
Shelby is so irresistable!!
