Hide a Squirrel
A big paws up from Shelby on her new toy, Hide-a-squirrel. She really likes it, and immediately was obsessed with it once I opened the box. 3 fuzzy squirrel tails! What's not to like?
And of course, the point is to remove the squirrels from the tree trunk, which Shelby got the hang of immediately....until I whipped out the video camera, and of course she sat there and licked squirrel tail the entire time. Eew. Slimy squirrel.

I was looking at getting one of those for Giggs. If Shelby loves it, then I guess we'll give it a try too.

Spot loves these too. The little squirrels are as much fun to carry around and chew as they are to get out of their log!

moxie LOVES these things. drs. foster & smith sells them the cheapest, and they have egg babies which have plush squeaky eggs hidden inside an elastic/velcro tummy - she's got two of those plus a beehive that has 3 bees that come out. they also have the squirrel one and a birdhouse :)
another fun thing is to also hide a cookie in there when i leave for work so she has a little job to do before napping all day while i'm gone :D

Don't rush her! She's got a plan... drown them first.

Do they make remedial hide-a-squirrel? Toby doesn't understand object permanency. I bought him this toy after watching Shelby with hers. He loves playing fetch with the little squirrels, but he can't figure out what I did with them when I put them in the tree trunk. Should I be worried? :)
BTW, I found the best price at petguys.com. I used reg shipping, and I received my stuff within a few days (and it's a holiday week!). I also bought Toby the IQube, which he loves! We play fetch everyday when I get home from work, and he loves playing fetch with the IQube balls (nevermind that they're not meant for fetch, but as I said earlier, he doesn't get the whole puzzle thing...). And, I bought him the Triple Crown everlasting treat ball, which entertained him ALL evening! (Usually he eats a treat in less than 10 minutes - even those busy bones & superchews, so I was ecstatic to find a treat he had to actually burn some calories for....).

desiree, moxie loves the eggs from her egg babies for playing fetch more than getting them out also :) but, i'm telling you, put a little treat in with the squirrles or balls or whathaveyou. works like a charm! he will get them out to get the treat at least :)

Hi there! I love your site! We have a pug (black male) named Lunchbox. He would love to know where you found the squirrel toy? We found Lammiedoodle because of Shelby too! He's in love with it!!
Thanks!

We found it at Three Dog Bakery, but I've seen it on Amazon.

I bought Eagle this toy upon Shelby's endorsement, and he LOVES it. Sometimes his little pug face gets stuck in the tree trunk and we end up having a good laugh at how goofy he looks trotting around the house with it stuck on his head.
Thanks for the tip on the cool new toy, Shelby!
