Shelby's Thanksgiving Turkey "Laser Eyes"

Normally, I retouch the blue eyes...but this time, I think they're appropriate, as Shelby stares down the remaining turkey and tries to will it into her waiting mouth.

We'll be taking a little break on the blog while the boy and I recover from a cold. It's day 4 of sore throat, coughing and sniffling, and I'm quite sick of it. Vin is taking it much better than me. Since Shelby can't catch human colds, it's nice to have her company while I recover.

Dear Mommy Winnie and son Vin--Please get well soon and feel better! We want you both healthy and happy in time for the
Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Thankfully, Pug Princess Shelby is healthy
and will be able to guard Vin with her
usual vigilence. Drink fluids and rest!

I have a hard time calling what pugs have a "mouth." It's more of a... hatch. With two floppy doors, one on either side.

Sort of like how I have a hard time calling what they do "barking."

A favorite cold remedy is 'Jewish Penicillin' I use an entire box of organic chicken broth and lots of sliced mushrooms. simmer and drink it all down and it really works. Mushrooms are antiviral n chicken broth is supposedly good for you too. Vin might like getting his feet rubbed with Vick's vapor rub and covered with warm socks. That supposedly helps for kids coughs now that they aren't supposed to have cough syrup.

All of your many fans understand.
This is the time we can use to review our favorites.

I used to think of my English Bulldogs mouthS as "baseball mitts". I promise , they did not miss anything edible throw toward them.

Don't we just love our little 4 legged entertainment systems? I always said better than anything on TV.

Love that Vin.

ok I have to ask - how do you retouch blue eyes? Using the red eye feature doesn't work and I have all of these pictures of my pugs with shiny crazy blue eyes. Help! Love Shelby's site!
