It's like Mutual of Omaha in our back yard

Saturday morning started with a clutch of wild turkeys walking up to our windows.

While Vin managed to contain himself and watched the turkeys through the window while repeating the word "tutee," Shelby barked, whimpered, pawed at the window, and ran laps around the house.

In other news, Vin has a cold again. I'm hoping that it doesn't spread to the rest of the family. There's tons of hand washing and Purell in this house. Wish us luck.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a wild turkey. Kendall would go nuts if she saw one of those. She goes crazy enough over the robins.

Sorry to hear your son has another cold.
Please take good care of you and Vin.
Does Vin have any allergies?

Happy belated New Year to you guys. Hope Vin is over his latest cold soon. Most of the people I know with small children are sick on and off all winter. Adorable as they are, they are like little petri dishes.

How cool that the turkeys came and amused the kids. We have them here in rural NC too, but we also have "turkey season"...not so cool for the turkeys.

What a fantastic view from your patio!

One good note, precious Vin is building up his immunity.
Shelby is thinking oh I could of , oh I could of....

Turkeys?.That's too funny. I remember
when my parents had ducks swimming in their pool. Winston glanced at them and look at me and went back to sleep. Hope Vin gets well soon enough.

Turkeys! How neat to see them outside your window. Makes you think twice about Thanksgiving don't it?

I hear neti pots help keep us grown ups from catching the cold. Couldn't hurt.
